Just some more cute pictures of this past week, this was on Easter, I think that is Z's Superman pose!

They worked all morning to get there little pile of leaves to jump in!
Running with Grandpa.

Zoo

The kids had this Monday off of school while everyone else had to go back, so we all went to the zoo. It was a perfect day to go, not to hot or cold and not that many people. I got some good pictures to!
I think we all got used to sleeping in this past week, it sure was hard to get up this morning and take kids to school!

Happy Easter!

For treats to give to family we made these cute nest out of shredded wheat and meted chocolate, the had fun shaping them and then licking there fingers!

I made cup cakes to take to Easter dinner.

Hope ya'll had wonderful Easter weekend. We had a nice BBQ with the family and the kids of course had a blast with the cousins.

All about Babys

First my ever expanding belly, 30 weeks now, 8 more to go.
this is the reason I don't blog much, I am always tired! Plus the two I already have!
Next is pictures of the baby shower I helped throw for my friend who is due in a few weeks.
These were the favors we gave out, they are little booties and I put them in a cute little bag with a tag that read "welcome baby Shoe" there last name is Shoemaker, get it? Cute I know! Tasty to!
These are some of the cute girl stuff I made her, fancied up onesies, blankets and burp cloths.

All packaged in a cute little basket.

This is the cake I made, the top was going to be different but couldn't find what I wanted so I improvised and use some of the bootie cookies, turned out ok I guess, should have made the pink darker though.

So this is what I did all weekend!

And last but not least a picture of my baby right now, so big and all boy! he is starting to not like having his picture taken, little bugger!

Up this week for spring break? Not much, its raining to day so we just went to the grocery store and I am trying to get Annalyse to clean up her room before I throw everything away! I just show her the big black garbage bag and she will start to cry!
My house is falling apart and I have no will or energy to get it where I want it! I am going to try this week!
Justin did finish up our night stands, I just need to stain them and take a picture of them, and then that means I need to clean up my room and get it ready for baby. He hopefully will get started on the cradle soon, cant wait to see how it comes out, Justin is so talented! I am glad he is, other wise I wouldn't have half the furniture that I do!!!
The only one thing I really want to do is go watch "Horton Hears a Who!" Need I say why?

Baked Potato Soup

I made this the other day when we had that cold front blow in, it sure did hit the spot!

Baked Potato Soup

3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic
1 large onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 can(49oz) low-sodium chicken broth
5 large baked potatoes, flesh scooped from the shell and smashed
1 cup heavy cream
kosher salt
freshly ground pepper

Garnish with
shredded cheddar cheese
chopped green onion
bacon cooked and crumbled
sour cream

In a 6 -8 quart saucepan over medium heat, warm the olive oil and swirl to coat the pan. Add the garlic, onion, celery, carrots, bay leaf and thyme and saute, stirring frequently, until the vegetables are softened, about ten minutes. Add the broth, bring to a simmer, and simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes. The vegetables should be very tender. Discard the bay leaf. Add the potatoes and simmer for 10 minutes to blend well. Stir in the cream and season to taste with salt and pepper.
Garnish with cheese, bacon, onion and sour cream. ( I usually just do the cheese and bacon)
I also puree the broth and vegetable mixture before adding the potatoes and cream, I like a more smooth soup.

It Moved!

The placenta has finally moved away from the cervix, so I got the green light to have a vaginal delivery, I am so happy!!! And I don't have to have any more sonos, so that's one less dr. apt. each month! 10 weeks and counting!

I have so many things to blog! But so much going on this month! I have lots of recipes hopeful to come, I made a delish baked potato soup last night and I have been making my favorite cranberry orange scones, so I need to get those up. I also have a baby shower I am helping with so I will have pictures of the cake and goodies I am making, plus I need to get the Easter decorations out and around the house. I usually have an egg decorating party for the kids but I don't know if that is going to happen this year, Easter keeps coming sooner and sooner! We might just do some has a family.
This freaky Texas weather is messing up my sinus's again, but I finally got rid of the headache so I feel much better today. Another reason to not like this state! It's 70 degrees one day and the next day it's 30! Crazy stupid Texas!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sleeping Babe

There is nothing sweeter to a mom then seeing her child asleep! Especial one that has started to cut back on his naps when his mom needs them the most! I made him sit on his bed and have quit time hopping he would fall asleep but no he just played around, and as soon has I told him he could watch t.v. he fell asleep sitting up! And yes with no clothes on! Its been hot! I wish I could be that free and cool!

Annalyse is doing good after her surgery, I had a couple sleepless nights getting up every 4 hours to give her meds, but she went to school today and almost made it to the end, she called an hour before they get out and said her throat was hearting and if I could come get her. So Z and I were getting into the truck and I noticed the back door to the garage was opened and the dogs were gone! They had to wait to be found, I needed to go get A so about a mile down the road I saw Jack and picked him up and took him back home but I couldn't see Jill so I just went to get A from school so I could give her some more Tylenol. On the way home as soon as I turned into our subdivision I saw the animal control truck and knew it was my dog in the back of her truck, I stopped and saw she stopped so I turned around and was able to get her from the lady, I probably would have never found her if she went to the pound! They lady said she saw the look on my face and that's why she had pulled over. She was so nice about it all to. She said its been real busy today with that high winds blowing gates and fences down. I am so happy to have her back, Boxers are the kind of dogs people like to keep or steal so I am relieved. What a Monday! Never did like Mondays to much!
I will have a Dr. update tomorrow, I have the ob appointment tomorrow and then the Perintaligest(sp?)(sono) appointment on Wed. I know they are going to tell me he is still low, cause I can feel it!
