Blast from the past

I was looking through some of the millions of photos we have and came across this cute one of Zander. I think this was two years ago when he was two. Kinda looks like we are country folk now! And I love Jacks face sticking out of the fence.

The title pretty much sums up our weekend. These pictures are not in order. My parents came into town to visit for the weekend, it rained the whole time they were here so we just hung out at the house, plus Zander got a stomach bug and was barfing all over the place. Then Sunday morning we went to check the chicken and found that there were only 3 out of the six. Justin left the garage door open(yes I am naming names). So we think a raccoon came and got 3 of them. I think I need a gun now that I have chickens. Um.. am I leaving anything out? Oh yea! I almost flushed my new expensive cell phone down the toilet, Madden probably needs tubes for his ears, we just cant get the fluid out! Justin looks like he will need surgery for his reflux, the washer was broke but now fixed, the dryer gets fixed on Wed. and still waiting to get the grill fixed. Whew!

So when you buy chickens you have to buy them in sets of six. So when we went to get some more Annalyse threw in to white rock ones. One of which is this little little runt she wanted so bad, his name is spot. He is like a 1/4 the size of the others. So now I have 9 chickens and hopefully a lot of eggs this summer, we think two might be rosters so they will be dinner once they get bigger.

The Corvette show was in town so we strolled through. And then eat some yummy BBQ.

Another picture at the hotel, we usually go over to swim but it was to cold if you can believe it, we have been so hot and then they get to town and we get cooler weather and rain! We needed the rain so I won't complain much.

We got chickens!!!

I have been wanting chickens ever since we moved out here to the country 4 years ago. And now I have some, we wont have eggs for 3-4 months though-cant wait for some fresh eggs! I'm glad we got them as chicks so they grow up with the kids handling them. They make eggcellent(ha ha) pets from what I've read.
Some of the names so far-super hero chick, glitter red, princess, hulk, Baily and red(this was Maddens, named him red just like him!)

Going Camping Going Camping

The kids have been bugging us to camp out in the back yard, so this weekend we finally let them do it.

There is always someone that gets hurt on a camp out, this time it was Zander, slipped and hit his nose on the deck. Good thing he still has his soft little baby nose! It didn't bleed in case you were wondering.

And no camp out would be complete with out hot dogs. Poor Jack is hoping one would fall on the ground(and it did!)

They also swung on the swings, my kids are swing addicts! Even the baby loves it! I love that Annalyse can push the baby while I watch!

Zander is getting daring on them!

The kids had fun in the tent. Me and Madden slept inside, and soon Zander came in to join us. I cant wait until we go camping outside the back yard!
