Rodeo Time Ya'll!

All the kiddos! They sure do love hanging out with there cousins! And I'm glad they get to grow up with them so close!

It was fun and sad to go to the rodeo, fun because I LOVE the rodeo always wanted to be IN the rodeo, and then sad because I wish I still had my horses. I traded them in for kids!!! Once the kids are a little older and Justin fences me in a couple acres I'll get one!

Back the summer truck up!

I have to do a little back track, I forgot to post about when I took the boys to the coast!

It was supposed to be the whole family and then Justin got called to work so he had to stay, then the morning we were going to head down there Annalyse starts to feel sick. So It was just me and the boys that went! It's only 2 1/2 hours away and we went with some friends so I wasn't all by myself. Madden absolutely loved it! sand and water, his to favorite things!! It was his first time to the beach and I hadn't been in three years! I know, we live so close and yet I still can't manage to get down there once a year! So the boys and I had a great time, I got burnt real bad but the boys were good! We got sand in everything, stayed in a really nice hotel, went swimming and shopping, just wish the whole family was there. Annalyse ended up going to the Dr. and was diagnosed with strep, poor thing. And she got it again last week! I think we just didn't kill it all the first time, got her some stronger meds and she is doing great!

Busy fun summer, we have something going on every weekend it seams, maybe that's why the pool isn't up! I'm starting to wonder if it will ever get back up :(

Chocolate Waffles

Yes I made chocolate waffles, and for dinner no less! And the were wonderful!

Chocolate Waffles
1½ cups (7 oz.) all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. (1¾ oz.) sugar
½ cup (1½ oz.) cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
3 large eggs, beaten
4 tbsp. butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 cups buttermilk, at room temperature
¾ cup mini chocolate chips
Nonstick cooking spray
Directions:
Preheat the waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Preheat the oven to 200˚ F.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Whisk to blend. In another bowl combine the eggs, butter, vanilla and buttermilk. Whisk to blend well. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients just until incorporated. Stir in the mini chocolate chips. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.
Fill the waffle iron with batter and cook until the waffle is crisp and completely cooked. Transfer finished waffles to the preheated oven and repeat until all the batter has been used. Serve immediately with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Dear Texas Summer,
Well here we are again. I have a love hate relationship with you as you well know, I love that we can do all the fun stuff like swimming and the river but then there is the sweltering heat, the humongous bugs, and not to mention the humidity!! So as always I will bare with you like I all ways do. If you keep up this rain I would like you even more this year!

Dear Wal-Mart Shopper,
Um yea, about yesterday and your screaming kid. I was there for 30 minutes and I could hear him all over the store(and its a Super!) My kids and lots of shoppers were wondering what was going on, come to find out he was just screaming while you looked at clothes! Next time could you just pick him up or something? It would make going to Wal Mart a whole lot more enjoyable, I already have to go there because its the only place in town, and to have your kid screaming at the top of there lungs for the whole 30 minutes made me get a headache so thanks for that!
I'm not leaving my name cause I don't want you to know who complained!

P.S. If your there next time I'm there and he is screaming I will give him a sucker or something to shut him up!

Dear Sacadas,
SHUT UP!!!! I cant sleep with all of the noise out side!! There are millions of you this year and it sounds like a horror film walking outside at night with all of you making that annoying noise at once!!! And get off my house!!! I hate seeing you guys ALL over and all the dead ones on the front porch-Yuck! I guess all of the rain made lots of food for ya'll cause you guys are BIG!! and UGLY! And LOUD!!! So go away!!!!

Dear Garden,
I just have to tell you how much I love you! You are exploding with produce and surprise me daily with your goodies. I love to just look at you and check to see whats new. Ever since I put that chicken poo soup on you you just went crazy!!! You must have liked it!! I made pickles with a lot of the cucumbers you gave me, I think the came out so tasty. And now the tomatoes are coming and look fabulous, oh and don't forget the cute little cantaloupes, the are so cute, I cant wait to eat them!!!
Well keep up the good work, you look wonderful, and I'm working on getting the bugs out!

The new Do

Still working on the self portrait thing!! So yea I cut off all my hard work of growing out my hair, I got it to the middle of my back. Which was cool and nice and all but in the Texas heat its a killer and I only keep it up, so whats the use of having long hair if I wasn't going to do anything but put it up!!??!! So I had Justin drop me off at the mall while he went to get a radiator for his Jeep and when he came back...Surprise!! I didn't tell him I was going to cut that much off! I don't think he would have dropped me off, you know how guys like long hair!! He like it like this to he just wasn't ready for it!! It will grow again!! I am loving it though, I can leave it down with out my back sweating :) And it will be super nice when we do all of that swimming in our pool(ahem!! Justin!)if and when it gets put up, were in the 90's now and that means swimming time!!
