Road trip!

We took a little road trip to Kerrvile, we took all the back roads to get there which was really pretty. I love it when we get lots of rain cause it makes everything so green around here, which it usually is not! It's normally shades of brown! So anyways we drove around all the back roads to get there, we took a picnic lunch to eat at the river. The weather was so beautiful and the kids were all good, it was a great day! driving through town I spotted this giant rocking chair, it was in the most random place off the road, I think someone made it for fun, but I saw it and we had to get some pictures of it!! Made you feel like Lilly Tomlin in that big thing!

I've also come to the conclusion that Justin and Madden will never give me good smile for the camera! Just check out the pictures above!! Madden and his crooked smile, J with his I'm not going to smile for you face! Love them to pieces though!

Alfredo, pasta, YW, Camp

Have I ever shared my Pasta Alfredo recipe with you? Well its really quite easy.
Just saute 2 garlic cloves in a little olive oil until golden, add a pint, yes a whole pint of cream. Turn it down low and let it simmer until it thickens. Add 1/2 cup-3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, fresh or the Kraft kind. Fresh is always better. Let that melt into the cream making a luscious creamy sauce. Cook up some pasta and poor over, mix it up, sprinkle some more Parmesan cheese and fresh or dried parsley.

Busy Spring

Got some Bantam chicks, there like mini chickens, so cute and they get the feathers on there feet which is so cool. Just hope I didn't get any roosters. THE GARDEN!!!!! I long time coming, I love it , it is the coolest garden ever! My husband rocks!!

My little baker made cookies from start to finish the other day, they actually were really good!! I caught her just before she was about to put a Tablespoon of salt!

The major hail storm we had last week, broke shingles on the roof, put tons of dents in the tin roof over the deck, dented up my truck, it was pretty bad. The plants in the garden did ok, cant say the same for the chicken we lost :( My truck is already in the shop, and all the roofs are going to be replaced, hopefully before Maddens birthday party next month! I don't want a mess everywhere!!

This is one of the "ice balls" as the bays were calling them. Poor Madden, it was so loud hitting the roof he started to cry and then for the rest of the day he was telling everyone, and I mean everyone "Ice balls scare me!"
The view of my front yard and the dozer that was working on the driveway, which turned out great and the kids have been ridding there bikes almost everyday.

We also had a YW overnight camp out in our back yard over the weekend. I am the ward camp leader, fun calling cause I love to camp and Love being in YW. It was a lot of fun, Zander had a blast hanging out with the girls and sleeping with mom! We went canoeing in the morning down the river, no one wanted to get wet because the water is still real cold, well just the leaders canoes got tipped over!! The water was freezing!!! But it was so fun, I haven't been down the river in 15 years!! Sad I know since we live 5 min away! I have been to the river but just not able to tube or canoe it in forever!! So I was excited and in was beautiful with everything being so green from all the rain. And the river was full and flowing nice and fast, usually takes 2 hours to float from one park to the other but we did it in a little over an hour! Must tube it when it gets warmer and I want to get wet!!

I will be busy until July with getting things ready for Girls camp in July, we have things we have to make and a hike that we have to do before going. I'm so excited though, I just love going to camp!

Dirty boys and Dogs

Its been a dirty kind of week! We finished building the garden so I was getting my hands dirty planting my vegetables. The Boys are always dirty, that's just a given. Madden had a green iced cupcake for St. Patrick's day, stained his face and poop, so I was cleaning a green bum for a few days. Little Dash boy got into my flower pot, naughty little dogie! Digging all the dirt out! Caught him in action. So I had to clean off all the dirt on the deck. I did wash my back door window, but it was after I took a picture of the dogs, it would have been so much cuter if the window was clean!

Caught red handed!! Naughty little thing!! But to cute!

We went to a friends little birthday party and the kids got to ride a pony.

She is getting to be a pro at the horse back ridding, I think we should get her a horse!

Again with the goofy smile!!! He is just to cute!

And no party would be complete with out chocolate cupcakes!!!
